Strategic Leader and Professional Problem Solver for Growth!
Jocko Willink
Leadership requires doing the hard things no one else wants to do, and I’ll be honest, it sucks. But with more than 20 years of hands-on leadership experience and ownership of multiple businesses, I’ve learned to “embrace the suck” because that’s where the most important work gets done.
My goal is to fully leverage this ability; to make the tough calls, have the hard conversations, and tackle the challenges others avoid; to drive the team and company toward mission success as I continue to grow into a future CEO in the Aerospace and Defense industry. I’ve built and led businesses from the ground up, thriving in fast-paced environments where agility, resourcefulness, and decisive action are critical. In leadership, you accept that you are ultimately responsible for the hardest decisions and the success of the team, and I step into that responsibility without hesitation.
I excel at adapting to shifting priorities, managing budgets with precision, and delivering results ahead of schedule. My experience with Lean operations allows organizations to scale efficiently while maintaining quality and momentum. As a hands-on leader with a global business perspective, I embrace innovative thinking that pushes beyond conventional limits.
What excites me most about a position like the Chief of Staff role is the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, particularly the CEO. While my education is valuable, my long-term aspiration is to become a CEO myself, and I see this position as the ultimate proving ground. I’m seeking a company that views my entrepreneurial background and formal education as a springboard to that goal and welcomes a doer like me.
I understand that some candidates may have prior Chief of Staff experience, but placing a future CEO in the role, someone without ingrained habits from previous positions, brings a fresh, “let’s get to work” approach. As my career demonstrates, I deliver results whether or not I’ve done the job before. You don’t open and run multiple businesses across diverse industries without learning fast, adapting instantly, and getting things done. I’m a doer, and I bring that mindset to everything I take on. I get things done!!
The CEO needs a future CEO in the Chief of Staff position. Someone who can think independently, command presence in decision-making rooms, communicate persuasively, dissect problems quickly, and determine the best course of action. These qualities are not learned in school; they’re built through years of leading businesses. I lead with emotional intelligence, make tough decisions with a clear mind, rise under pressure, and maintain situational awareness to be prepared for anything.
I’m a persistent driver of progress, skilled at harnessing people’s talents to maintain a high-tempo operating rhythm. In a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world, business success depends on leaders who can align human talent with technological advancement to deliver results. That’s exactly what I do, and why I’m the perfect person to be your next Chief of Staff.
